Hi,

I am one of the unfortunate losers who didn't backup their private keys. My hard drive failed ... keys lost.

I am waiting on apple to get back to me about the ramifications if I want to update my app.

Just to clarify - your "EDIT" in your article - Does it suggest I will be able to update my app with a new distribution cert? ... Who gave you the info?

If you answer yes... I will have a better sleep tonight.

Thanks

"the old certificate must be revoked before a new one can be created, which will caused all applications signed with the old certificate to die."

Do you have any particular reason to think this? All developer certificates are time-limited; wouldn't their expiry be equivalent to their revocation, in which case your app would be a time bomb for its customers if Apple had designed it this way?
